  • Police find hanging bodies of two girls
    Police recovered hanging bodies of two unidentified young girls, tied with one scarf, from a room at Narasinghapur in Ashulia area of Dhaka on Thursday night. Mohsinul Kadir, officer-in-charge of Ashulia police station, said on information, police recovered the bodies tied with a scarf in a single knot to the ceiling of the room around 10:00 pm. Police also sent those to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsies, the OC added. Both the girls used to live at the house of one Biplob as tenants.     A US jury handed Google a major victory on Thursday in a long-running copyright battle with Oracle Corp over Android software used to run most of the world's smartphones. The jury unanimously upheld claims by Google that its use of Oracle's Java development platform to create Android was protected under the fair-use provision of copyright law, bringing trial to a close without Oracle winning any of the $9 billion in damages it requested.
