  • Economy grew 7.11pc in FY16: Mustafa Kamal
    Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday said that Bangladesh’s GDP growth was 7.11 per cent in the last financial year. The country’s economy grew 7.11 per cent in the fiscal year 2015-2016 that ended in June, the planning minister said on Tuesday. Growth picked up from 6.5 per cent the previous year when political unrest crippled the economy, he said. The South Asian country’s economy grew by an average of more than 6 per cent a year during the past decade, according to a news agency. – bz
